Galvez, a master tailor whose journey began in Santiago, where craftsmanship was not just learned—it was lived. Raised in a family where needles and thread were tools of both necessity and expression, Samuel was deeply influenced by the women who came before him: his mother, an accomplished dressmaker, and his grandmother, a trailblazing tailor in her time. From them, he inherited not only technical skill, but a deep respect for the craft and the people it serves.
By the age of 14, Samuel had already committed himself fully to the discipline of tailoring, entering formal training and beginning what would become a lifelong pursuit of mastery. What started as a young boy’s curiosity evolved into decades of refined expertise—each stitch guided by precision, patience, and pride
His journey would eventually lead him from Chile to Canada, where he brought his knowledge, heritage, and unwavering standards to the Okanagan. In Kelowna, Samuel founded El Zorro Tailoring—a place where old-world craftsmanship meets the modern realities of fashion.
As the industry shifted with the rise of fast fashion, so too did the demands of tailoring. Custom garment creation gave way to highly specialized alterations, requiring not less skill, but more—an expert eye to reshape, restore, and perfect garments that were never made to last. Through it all, Samuel adapted without compromising the integrity of his craft
